About The Position

Ascension is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for their St. Agnes - Ascension facility in Baltimore, MD, within the Speech Therapy Department. This is a full-time, day schedule position offering a sign-on bonus of up to $7,500.00 and a salary range of $42.48 - $62.13 per hour. Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Speech-Language Pathologist credentialed from the Maryland Board of Audiologists, Hearing Aid Dispensers and Speech-Language Pathologists obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Speech language pathologist provisional license will be accepted until license is issued. License must be obtained within 12 months of hire date or job transfer date.
• Speech-Language Pathologist credentialed from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Speech language pathologist provisional license will be accepted until license is issued. License must be obtained within 12 months of hire date or job transfer date.
• Master’s degree from accredited Speech & Language Pathology program of university required.

Nice To Haves

• Doctorate degree from accredited Speech & Language Pathology program of university preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients requiring speech-language therapy.
• Perform therapy intervention utilizing standard therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the condition of the patient.
• Educate and counsel patient and family regarding treatment plan.
• Maintain clinical records and follow performance improvement recommendation.
• Plan and/or assist with patient discharge from speech therapy services.
