About The Position

We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), internally referred to as our Speech Therapist or Speech-Language Therapist. As our Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), you are responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating individuals with speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PRN. Shift's Available: days Employment Type: per diem/PRN Hours: 8 hour shift Location: Saint John Hospital, Leavenworth, KS.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited college or university with Bachelor's in Speech Therapy.
• Licensed by the state in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current BLS for healthcare provider's certification upon hire and maintain current.

Nice To Haves

• MS degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• One year of experience with swallow assessment and treatment in an acute care hospital setting.
• One year of experience in acute care.

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage for inpatients in the acute care setting.
• Responsible for the evaluation, treatment planning and implementation of treatment for patients demonstrating disorders of speech, language, cognition, swallowing and other services prescribed by a physician.
• Assist in developing and implementing new and ongoing programs beneficial for the enhancement of the department.
• If working weekends, the weekend shift is an on-call shift on Saturday 8:00a - 9:00a with call-back pay if called in.
