About The Position

We are looking for a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist like you to be a part of our team. You will coordinate the Speech Language Pathology care for the patient population who are acutely ill and have medical needs, which result in cognitive, swallowing, or language deficits. You will document evaluations (admission and discharge), modifications in treatment plan of care, and responses to speech language pathology interventions. You will determine the efficacy of therapeutic interventions, technologies and outcomes and the utilization of support personnel. You will work as a part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team with other therapists, nurses, physicians, allied health professionals to deliver a team approach to each patient.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology is required.
  • Speech Language Pathologist License issued by the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology is required.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) by the American Speech and Hearing Association is required.
  • 1 year of experience in a Speech Therapy Setting: Acute, Inpatient Rehab, Pediatrics, or Outpatient setting is preferred.
  • Current BLS certification is required.
