About The Position

The position involves providing evaluation, diagnosis, evidence-based treatment, and prevention measures to patients with speech, language, learning, cognitive-communication, voice, swallowing/feeding, and fluency disorders. The role includes developing and implementing patient care plans and providing care within an integrated Care Delivery model, coordinating with physicians, family, and other team members regarding diagnosis, intervention, and progress. The position also requires fulfilling all documentation and coding requirements while adhering to Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Washington and departmental policies and procedures, as well as complying with all regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum nine (9) months experience as a clinical speech-language pathologist.
  • Masters degree in communication disorders or speech-language pathology.
  • Speech-Language Pathologist License (Washington) required at hire.
  • Basic Life Support required at hire.
  • Clinical competence for age(s), populations, and disorders based on job site location.
  • Proficient with computers including Word, Excel, Epic, SonaSpeech.
  • Completed Clinical Fellowship.

Nice To Haves

  • Five (5) years of clinical experience.
  • Lee Silverman Voice Treatment Certification obtained shortly after date of hire/transfer.
  • Expert level of competence with skills that include specialty training in FEES, videofluoroscopy, videostroboscopy, American Sign Language, PROMPT, and accent modification.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose and provide treatment for speech, language/learning, cognitive-communication, swallowing and fluency disorders.
  • Complete required procedure or visit documentation and coding.
  • Contribute to program development and quality activities.
  • Meet continuing education, certification and training requirements.
  • Provide feedback to team per integrated Care Delivery model.
