About The Position

We’re growing! The Place for Speech is dedicated to delivering high-quality, compassionate speech therapy that positively impacts the lives of children with autism and their families. As part of our continued expansion across Chicagoland and surrounding suburbs, we are bringing speech services to more clinics than ever before. Affiliated with The Place for Children with Autism, our growing footprint allows us to serve more families—and we’re excited to welcome passionate clinicians to grow alongside us. Position Overview: We are seeking full-time Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to join our collaborative and mission-driven team. In this role, you will provide impactful therapy services to children ages 2–8 in our clinic locations. This opportunity is ideal for clinicians who are passionate about working with children on the autism spectrum and have experience across areas such as ASD, apraxia, phonological processes, articulation, language, voice, pragmatics, AAC, and feeding. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • CCC-SLP from ASHA or eligibility to obtain
  • Illinois SLP licensure or eligibility
  • Valid Illinois driver’s license and car insurance
  • Experience working with children diagnosed with ASD
  • Knowledge of speech therapy billing practices
  • Reliable transportation to multiple clinic locations
  • Strong multitasking, organizational, and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized, effective treatment plans
  • Build and manage a full caseload across our expanding clinic network
  • Monitor, evaluate, and document client progress using clinical observations, caregiver feedback, and standardized assessments
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including evaluations, daily notes, progress reports, and billing
  • Stay current with evidence-based practices in speech-language pathology
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team committed to high-quality care
  • Provide education, training, and support to families and caregivers
  • Design engaging, developmentally appropriate therapy activities
  • Manage time effectively and work independently when needed
  • Foster a positive, professional, and supportive clinical culture
  • Represent The Place for Speech with enthusiasm and professionalism
