About The Position
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a 13-week contract assignment in Syracuse, NY. The SLP will evaluate, treat, and support patients with speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders while working with an interdisciplinary team.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active New York State SLP License
- CCC-SLP (ASHA) or CFY eligible
- BLS Certification
Nice To Haves
- 1+ year of clinical or hospital experience
- Experience in acute care, inpatient rehab, or SNF setting
Responsibilities
- Perform speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide evidence-based therapy services
- Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries
- Collaborate with physicians and therapy teams
- Educate patients and families
- Participate in care planning meetings
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and facility policies
- Support AAC devices as needed
