About The Position

This is an in-person School-Based Speech Language Pathologist role responsible for providing evaluations, eligibility determination, IEP participation, and direct therapy services. The SLP will support students with speech-only needs as well as those receiving special education services, including Response to Intervention (RtI) support.

Requirements

• Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech Language Pathology endorsement
• License must be registered in Lake County
• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required)
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a school setting
• Experience providing evaluations and direct therapy services to children

Responsibilities

• Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments
• Participate in eligibility determination and IEP meetings
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans
• Provide direct speech-language therapy services
• Support Response to Intervention (RtI) initiatives
• Serve students with speech-only needs and special education services
• Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and progress notes
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
• Communicate evaluation results and therapy progress clearly (written and verbal)
