About The Position

We seek a highly adept Speech-Language Pathologist to join our dedicated therapy team. This position may involve working with swing-bed patients as well as in an all-age outpatient clinic. Position Summary: The Speech-Language Pathologist is entrusted with administering and applying speech and language pathology treatment modalities as prescribed by a referring physician, either in the swing bed or outpatient setting. The pathologist evaluates, plans, directs, and treats patients referred for speech and language therapy, striving to restore function following illness or injury. The primary aim is to assist patients in achieving maximum performance while adapting to their conditions.

Requirements

  • Current or eligible Oklahoma State Licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or an equivalent degree from an accredited university.
  • Must maintain current Provider CPR, ACLS, and PALS certification throughout employment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills are essential

Nice To Haves

  • A clinical internship in a hospital or rehabilitation setting during the master’s degree program is recommended.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates profound knowledge and skill in addressing a variety of diagnostic groups, including articulation, fluency, voice and resonance, language, cognition, hearing, swallowing, social communication, and communication modalities across the swing bed and all-ages outpatient settings.
  • Exhibits an understanding of normal growth and development, related behaviors, needs, comfort levels, and the appropriate range of treatment for various age groups (pediatric, adult, geriatric) and diagnoses, contributing to a tailored interdisciplinary care plan.
  • Administers evaluation tools in accordance with established protocols and employs standardized and non-standardized assessments as needed to craft an appropriate individualized care plan.
