About The Position
Blue Bird Day, a leading specialized intensive pediatric therapeutic day program, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate clinic-based Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our multidisciplinary team of top therapists in Chicago, IL. This is an opportunity to provide evidence-based, play-focused pediatric therapy in a collaborative, innovative environment designed to help children thrive. As a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) at Blue Bird Day, you will provide speech therapy to children ages 3-6 years old with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, sensory processing disorder, and other neurodiverse needs. You'll foster each child's speech, receptive and expressive language, feeding and swallowing needs through: Providing individualized and group therapy Implementing therapeutic approaches such as Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding, Get Permission Approach, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), and Intentional Relationship Model (IRM) Collaborating daily with occupational and physical therapists, and social workers Documenting progress and communicating with families to support continuity of care
Responsibilities
- Providing individualized and group therapy
- Implementing therapeutic approaches such as Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding, Get Permission Approach, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), and Intentional Relationship Model (IRM)
- Collaborating daily with occupational and physical therapists, and social workers
- Documenting progress and communicating with families to support continuity of care
