About The Position
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Speech-Language Pathologist for a 21-week school-based contract in Ashburn, VA. Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited program.
- Valid Virginia Board of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology license.
- Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively.
Nice To Haves
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
- Prior experience in a K-5 school setting preferred; familiarity with Virginia special education regulations and IEP software is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Direct Intervention: Provide high-quality speech and language therapy to students with a range of communication disorders, including articulation, fluency, voice, and expressive/receptive language.
- IEP Development: Draft, review, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) with measurable goals tailored to each student’s unique needs.
- Evaluations: Conduct comprehensive speech-language assessments and screenings to determine eligibility for services.
- Collaboration: Work closely with classroom teachers, special education staff, and parents to integrate communication goals into daily academic life.
- Compliance: Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and service logs in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Team Meetings: Participate in Eligibility, IEP, and 504 meetings as the communication expert.
