About The Position

California Rehabilitation Institute A Joint Venture with Cedars, UCLA, and Select Medical Century City / Los Angeles, CA Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Outpatient – Per Diem Increased Rate $67.00 $2,500 Sign on Bonus Join us for our Virtual Hiring Event 12/9 from 5pm-7:30pm Cal Rehab Outpatient Therapy specializes in providing care to patients with neurologic injuries or disorders (CVA, BI, SCI, PD, etc.) in addition to many other conditions. We focus on coordinated, multidisciplinary care as our team provides PT, OT, and SLP services and has a strong emphasis on the smooth transition through the continuum of care. We are looking for an SLP who will contribute to our development and growth as a clinic, is committed to high quality patient care, and values teamwork and communication, and is able to work with minimal supervision. SLPs with adult neuro experience are preferred, but others may be considered. Specializations are preferred but not required. Must be able to treat all areas of adult SLP practice including, but not limited to, cognitive, speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Clinic hours range within 8 am – 5:15 pm Monday through Friday. Patient care is primarily 1:1. This is subject to change depending on patient care and market needs. Requirements

• Current state licensure as Speech Language Pathologist required.
• Certified CLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required

Nice To Haves

• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association preferred
• SLPs with adult neuro experience are preferred
• Specializations are preferred but not required.
• Must be able to treat all areas of adult SLP practice including, but not limited to, cognitive, speech, language, and swallowing disorders.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plan in accordance with the patient’s need and physician direction.
• Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients.
• Ensures the design of functional treatment programs allowing for an effective return to community activities.
• Serves as an educator of patients, families, students, co-workers and self.
• Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, development of discipline-specific therapy services and design of program delivery.
• Coordinate treatment program in conjunction with other clinical/therapeutic services as available community resources.
