About The Position

Kingston of Ashland is seeking a compassionate and motivated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our skilled nursing and rehabilitation team. In this role, youll help residents improve communication, swallowing, and cognitive-linguistic skills while working alongside a multidisciplinary team dedicated to resident-centered care. Requirements

Active Ohio Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license required
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
Strong communication, assessment, and organizational skills
Compassionate, resident-first approach with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes

Nice To Haves

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; CFY candidates considered
Skilled nursing, rehab, or long-term care experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, swallowing, and cognitive-communication disorders
Develop individualized treatment plans to support resident recovery and independence
Deliver one-on-one and group therapy sessions that are engaging and effective
Document evaluations, progress notes, and outcomes accurately in the EHR system
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and families to coordinate care
Educate residents, families, and staff on communication strategies and safe swallowing practices
Ensure therapy practices meet Ohio regulations and Kingstons standards of care
