About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a 16-week school-based contract assignment in the Colorado Springs, CO area . This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative educational environment supporting students with speech, language, communication, and related disorders.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current Colorado State License as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA or CFY eligible.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Strong knowledge of speech-language pathology principles, assessment tools, and evidence-based practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical or school-based experience preferred.
  • Experience in pediatric or educational settings strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs and IEP goals.
  • Provide evidence-based therapy services to improve communication skills and functional outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including evaluations, treatment notes, progress reports, and discharge summaries.
  • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and interdisciplinary team members to support student success.
  • Educate families and caregivers regarding treatment plans and home-based strategies.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on student progress and recommendations.
  • Support augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices as appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, district policies, and professional standards.
  • Participate in staff meetings, continuing education, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the clinical supervisor.
