About The Position

Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)- Home Health Hugh Chatham Heath at Home (formerly Yadkin Valley Home Health) Flexible Schedules Personal mileage reimbursed at full IRS Rate Full time position North Carolina counties served: Alexander, Alleghany, Ashe, Davie, Forsyth, Iredell, Stokes, Surry, Wilkes and Yadkin Provides and directs the provision of home speech therapy, based on agency policies and procedures, through the competent application of the speech therapy process. Employee will also be cross-trained within the inpatient SLP setting.

Requirements

Master's degree with a major in speech pathology.
Holds certificate of clinical competence and license granted by the American Speech and Hearing Association.
North Carolina license
Demonstrates a high level of mental and emotional tolerance and even temperament when dealing with ill people; uses tact, sensitivity, sound judgment and a professional attitude when relating with patients, families, and co-workers at all times.
Actively functions as a patient advocate.
Must develop knowledge of current home care emergency policies and procedures, fire safety, disaster and infection control policies.

Responsibilities

Provides and directs the provision of home speech therapy, based on agency policies and procedures, through the competent application of the speech therapy process.
