Timely Evaluation & Treatment Planning Evaluate patients within 24 hours (or 1 business day) of physician referral, document any delays, and develop effective treatment plans with physician approval. Patient Treatment & Documentation Deliver care according to the physician’s treatment plan and maintain accurate evaluations, daily notes, weekly progress updates, and recertifications in compliance with state and payer guidelines. Supervision & Staff Support Supervise Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants and Clinical Fellows (CFY), assist in training Restorative Aides, and act as a preceptor for student programs. Team Communication & Collaboration Coordinate with supervisors and healthcare teams about patient progress and participate in interdisciplinary meetings and care conferences. Family & Caregiver Training Instruct families or nursing staff in maintenance programs and caregiver techniques to support patient transition and discharge. Compliance & Professional Standards Adhere to the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology State Practice Act, facility policies, and state/federal regulations, maintaining a valid license in good standing. In-Service Participation Engage in in-service training programs and contribute to staff development and knowledge-sharing within the facility. Technical & Language Proficiency Utilize software like Casamba and Point Click Care for documentation, and demonstrate strong reading comprehension and communication skills for technical and procedural information. Physical & Sensory Demands Perform job duties that involve frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 100 lbs), and physical activities like pushing/pulling, with adequate visual and auditory capacity. Educational Requirements Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (Master’s or Doctorate preferred) with ongoing education per state requirements.
