About The Position

HealthPro Heritage has a great Part-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity at our Senior Living community in Cumming, GA. This is a meaningful role for a compassionate clinician looking to make an impact in the lives of older adults in a flexible and supportive environment. Approx. 15 hours/week | 2–3 days per week -prefer availability before 4pm weekdays.

Requirements

  • Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution
  • Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or license eligible
  • Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP)
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities

  • Provide speech-language pathology evaluations and individualized therapy services
  • Address communication, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing needs of senior residents
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team in a welcoming senior living setting
  • Maintain accurate documentation and effectively communicate progress and outcomes
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations
  • Develop accurate diagnoses based on assessment results
  • Implement evidence-based therapies for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders
  • Monitor and adjust treatment plans
  • Educate and support patients and families on disorders, treatment strategies, and daily communication improvement
  • Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards
  • Work with healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed
