MedStar Health is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive speech-language pathology services at MedStar Franklin Square Hospital. The role involves conducting evaluations, developing treatment plans, implementing therapies, and ensuring proper documentation across various healthcare settings. The SLP will also participate in program planning and assist the team in achieving established goals, contributing to one of the largest healthcare systems in the Baltimore-Washington metro region.

Provides evaluation services including review of historical information and performance of specific assessments.
Explains evaluation findings and treatment plans to patients and families, incorporating their input in goal setting.
Demonstrates proficiency in implementing treatment protocols based on evaluations and patient presentations.
Consults with other healthcare professionals as needed.
Recognizes and documents changes in patients' conditions that require modifications to the care plan.
Completes appropriate discharge planning and follow-up care.
Accurately documents and charges for patient care activities in a timely manner.
Demonstrates effective time management and meets productivity expectations.
Manages an accurate schedule for patient appointments.
Displays a professional commitment to providing patient access to care with empathy and adaptability.
Pursues continuing education for professional growth and competency.
Serves as a clinical instructor and assists with the orientation and mentoring of new staff, students, and volunteers.

Master's degree or Doctoral degree from an accredited school of Speech Language Pathology.
Completion of clinical fellowship year (CFY).
Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in Maryland, District of Columbia, and/or Virginia as required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence.
