The Kent School District is seeking a qualified Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our Inclusive Education team. This position is certificated and is a full-time role (1.0 FTE) under a continuing contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality speech and language services to students, ensuring equitable access to educational opportunities. The role is aligned with our mission to prepare all students for their futures and our vision of producing globally competitive learners.

  • Provide speech and language assessments and interventions for students.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Monitor and document student progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of school-wide initiatives.
  • Provide training and support to staff regarding speech and language development.
  • Valid Washington State certification as a Speech and Language Pathologist.
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
  • Experience working with students with diverse needs and backgrounds.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in an inclusive education setting.
  • Knowledge of current best practices in speech and language therapy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
