About The Position

We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist / Senior Speech Language Pathologist - Voice to: Work at a nationally known state of the art Voice and Swallow Center. Work clinically and academically with a multidisciplinary team that includes physicians and speech language pathologists. Perform diagnostics including acoustics, aerodynamics, stroboscopy, and flexible endoscopy. Develop new programs and outreach opportunities. Contribute to learning experiences for residents, medical students, speech pathologist and clinical fellows. Be involved with clinical research and continuing education. Work in a cutting-edge clinical environment at multiple locations throughout UW Health Systems.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in speech-language pathology from an ASHA accredited graduate program Required
  • Completion of Clinical Speech Language Pathology Fellowship Required
  • 7 years or more of clinical experience post Clinical Speech Language Pathology Fellowship Required
  • Experience in diagnostics specific to area of specialty Required
  • Experience in providing therapy in the relevant area of specialty (e.g. speech, language, cognition, voice, airway, resonance, or swallow therapy) Required
  • Experience supervising a learner Required
  • WI Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license Upon Hire Required
  • ASHA certified (CCC-SLP) or eligible for certification Upon Hire Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months Required

  • Contribution to local or national professional boards and committees (such as ASHA or state-level speech and hearing associations) Preferred
  • Record of presentation at national and regional professional conferences Preferred
  • Record of leadership in program development/quality improvement initiatives Preferred
  • Interest in and/or history of seeking mentorship in developing leadership skills Preferred
  • Board Certification in Area of Specialty if available (e.g. BCSS for swallow subspecialty) Preferred
