About The Position

The position involves providing adult and pediatric patient evaluation and care planning for speech-language pathology. The role includes delivering patient care appropriate to age-specific and other population needs, as well as providing clinical leadership.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
• Applicable state license for Speech Language Pathology required.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assess and document patient's medical, mental, and emotional needs at admission and on an ongoing basis.
• Develop and implement a plan of care to meet patient and family needs, including discharge planning and utilization of available resources.
• Act as patient advocate; treat patients and families with compassion and implement the plan of care in a safe and timely manner.
• Demonstrate clinical reasoning and skills to conduct accurate clinical assessments and perform patient care activities.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of therapy interventions and identify patient/family strengths, needs, and priorities.
• Identify the normal course of illness in assigned patient population and intervene appropriately when deviations occur.
• Communicate patient information and thoroughly document therapist's actions and plan of care.
• Provide clinical leadership and mentoring.
