This position is located at our Kenosha Clinic. Examines, tests, diagnoses, plans, and implements complex treatment programs for pediatric inpatients and outpatients with communication disorders and/or feeding difficulties. Included are developmental speech disorders, language disorders, communication problems due to hearing loss, congenital or acquired neurological disorders, fluency problems, difficulty with social use of language, alternative or augmentative communications systems, rehabilitative needs, monitors patient progress, ensures that recommendations are followed, and maintains clinical records according to established procedures.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Speech/Language Pathology.
  • Current license with the State of Wisconsin or eligible for gaining license with state of Wisconsin.
  • Current CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
  • Knowledge of principles of neonatal, pediatric, and adolescent development as it relates to communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Two years' experience preferred in speech/language techniques and objectives.
  • Certificate of clinical competence in speech/language pathology or certificate-eligible and retain certificate within 12 months of hire.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with patients and families and other professionals.

  • Experience in feeding.
