Requirements

  • Masters Degree
  • (CCC-SLP) Cert of Clin Competence Speech Language Pathology, or (SLP) Speech-Language Pathologist

Responsibilities

  • Conduct a subjective assessment of assigned patient's speech language abilities during spontaneous conversation.
  • Administer objective tests to assess patient's communication assets and liabilities.
  • Structure and implement individualized patient program to improve communication abilities.
  • Evaluate patient regularly during treatment and adjust program as needed to maximize patient progress.
  • Document progress in patient's chart, including notes, charges, discharge notes and patient communication.
  • Consult with Program Director and Rehab Physician/Medical Director regarding pre-screen assessments and physician consultations to determine appropriate placement of potential patients.
