LaSalle Putnam County Educational Alliance for Special Education (L.E.A.S.E.) is a forward-thinking educational cooperative dedicated to providing high-quality support services to schools and communities across our region. We collaborate with 27 local school districts, families, and professionals to ensure students receive the services they need to thrive. We are currently seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist Coordinator to lead and support our team of SLPs in delivering exceptional services across our member districts. This is a rewarding leadership opportunity for an experienced clinician who is passionate about mentorship, service excellence, and making a meaningful impact. The SLP Coordinator is responsible for overseeing speech-language pathology services and supporting the speech language pathologists. There are approximately 50 SLPs in the cooperative member districts. You will direct supervise approximately 8 SLPs that are hired directly through the cooperative. This role combines clinical expertise with leadership responsibilities, including program coordination, staff supervision, compliance monitoring, and strategic planning.

  • Coordinate and supervise SLP staff across multiple school districts
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations (IDEA, Medicaid, etc.)
  • Provide mentorship, training, and clinical support to SLP team members
  • Clinical Fellowship Mentor, if needed
  • Monitor caseload distribution and service delivery efficiency
  • Collaborate with school administrators, special education directors, and families
  • Participate in IEP meetings as needed and support complex case management
  • Review IEPs for compliance
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and professional development programs
  • Track data for reporting, funding, and quality assurance
  • Administer the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2)
  • Support member districts with assistive technology needs and be the liaison to Infinitec
  • Oversee the preschool diagnostic team and substitute for screenings if needed
  • Participate with a group of special education coordinators to develop programs and assist member districts
  • Develop and lead professional development workshops
  • Evaluate staff
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • Valid Illinois SLP license (IDFPR) and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Valid Professional Educator License Type 75 and/or Director of Special Education Endorsement
  • Minimum of five years experience as a practicing SLP; school-based experience preferred
  • Leadership or supervisory experience highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of IDEA, special education law, and best practices
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel between cooperative member sites as needed
  • Completion of evaluation modules
  • Experience with Structured Teaching preferred
