About The Position

Requirements

Possess a valid Speech Language Pathologist- SLP
Clear Livescan
TB Test
CPR Healthcare Provider Card
Availability must include until 7pm during weekdays
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility
Be a Strong-Team Player
Have a desire to continue to grow as a professional
Regularly stand, bend, stoop, lift and move intermittently during shift
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
Must be able to push or pull wheeled equipment over 100lbs

Responsibilities

Deliver excellent family-centered patient care, that aims to support functional goals and needs of the patient and their family.
Perform assessments and interpretation of evaluations and test results; determine speech therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians or by prescription, and carry out a treatment plan that supports functional improvement across the lifespan.
Provide quality care by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results; determine speech therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians or by prescription.
Help patient accomplish goals outlined in treatment plan and effective use of therapeutic devices and strategies.
Complete discharge planning by consulting with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other health care workers; contributing to patient care conferences.
Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records, according to the law.
Maintain patient confidentiality and protect clinic operations by keeping information confidential, according to the law.
Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Develop speech therapy staff by providing information; developing and conducting in-service training programs.
Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Participate effectively as a member of the IEP team, but provide these services as part of a comprehensive education plan and in accordance with the written IEP, as needed.
