Requirements

• Licensed Speech Language Pathologist in Pennsylvania.
• CPR certification and other required credentials.
• Master’s degree (MS, MEd, or MA) in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Pennsylvania Speech Pathologist License.
• Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC-SLP) or eligibility with active Clinical Fellowship year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification (AHA standards).
• Act 34 Clearance.
• OAPSA Clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Active participation in professional healthcare organizations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver effective speech-language pathology treatments to clients who can benefit from these services.
• Conduct diagnostic evaluations and prepare detailed reports with recommendations.
• Maintain accurate progress notes and professional records.
• Coordinate evaluation, scheduling, and treatment programs.
• Participate in staff meetings, in-service education, and community outreach.
• Uphold confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and UPMC’s Code of Conduct.
• Ensure all professional credentials and competencies are current (e.g., license, CPR, CEUs, TB test).
