About The Position

The Speech-Language Pathologist provides evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of communication, cognitive/communication and swallowing disorders in patients of all ages. This individual makes appropriate referrals inside the institution and to outside agencies as appropriate.

Requirements

  • M.A. or M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Current applicable State DRL Licensure/Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years clinical experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat communication disorders.
  • Assess cognitive/communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Make appropriate referrals to internal and external agencies.
