About the position

The position requires a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) who will assist in providing speech and language services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. The role involves working with individuals to improve their communication skills and may include administrative tasks related to the therapy process.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing treatment plans developed by a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Provide direct therapy services to clients as directed.
  • Document client progress and report to the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Maintain records and documentation as required by state regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other professionals.

Requirements

  • A completed Edjoin application with all fields filled.
  • Graduation from High School or equivalent.
  • Associates degree in Speech-Language Pathology or communication disorders OR graduation from a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant Program.
  • Current registration as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) issued by the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board.
  • Valid ADULT/PEDIATRIC First Aid and CPR Certification (NO online courses; NO BLS cards; MUST include Pediatric training).
  • Typing Test: minimum adjusted/net speed of 40 wpm on a 3-5 minute test.
  • Current DMV printout (no greater than 30 days old).
  • Three (3) Professional Letters of Recommendation from current/former supervisors/coworkers.
