About The Position

To treat individuals with communication disorders which interfere with the individual student's ability to derive full benefit from the District's educational program.

Responsibilities

  • Assists speech-language therapist in conducting client screenings or assessments of language, voice, fluency, and articulation.
  • Implements treatment plans or protocols as directed by speech-language therapists.
  • Collects and compiles data to document clients' performance or assess program quality.
  • Documents clients' progress toward meeting established treatment objectives.
  • Performs support duties such as preparing materials, keeping records, maintaining supplies, and scheduling activities.
  • Selects or prepares speech-language instructional materials.
  • Assists in the preparation of necessary paperwork for annual IEP, and also acting as a case manager.
  • Must hold a certificate Licensed by the State of Arizona Health Department as a Speech Language Assistant (SLP-A)
  • Performs other duties that may be assigned by the supervisor.
