About The Position

The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant position at Cascade School District involves working under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to provide support in the delivery of speech and language services to students. Requirements

• Must be a citizen or able to provide documentation to work in the United States.
• Completion of a relevant educational program in speech-language pathology or a related field.
• Ability to pass a background investigation and provide a sexual misconduct release.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with children in an educational setting.
• Familiarity with speech and language assessment tools.
• Certification as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).

Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of speech and language therapy programs as directed by the supervising Speech Language Pathologist.
• Support students in developing communication skills through individual and group activities.
• Document student progress and report findings to the supervising Speech Language Pathologist.
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom environment.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
