About The Position

Adelphi is seeking a Speech -Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to provide speech and language services in a school setting located in Milton, Florida. The ideal candidate will work closely with school administration to provide services to students in accordance with established guidelines and standards of practice. Responsibilities: Submit timesheets in accordance with contractor policies. Communicate effectively with school personnel and parents, including providing required notice of staffing changes. Collaborate with teachers, psychologists, and related service providers to support student needs. Implement evidence -based speech and language therapy services under the direction and supervision of the SLP. Use appropriate materials, equipment, and assistive technology necessary for service delivery. Assist in observing students and conducting assessments when approved and supervised according to state regulations. Support progress monitoring and prepare reports, pending supervisor approval as required by state rules. Maintain records, complete digital documentation, and submit Medicaid billing within 48 hours of services, subject to supervisory oversight. Develop and follow service schedules, utilizing various delivery models (push -in, pull -out, virtual, hybrid) and notify appropriate personnel of schedule changes. Participate in required trainings, professional learning activities, performance reviews, and comply with district, state, and federal policies while maintaining a safe and positive learning environment. Any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Speech -Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or related field from an accredited educational institution, or
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Education or any other field from an accredited educational institution and completion of a graduate certificate or ‘bridge’ program for Speech -Language Pathology, and
  • Possess a current Florida Department of Health Speech -Language Pathologist Assistant license
