About The Position

Ascend is looking for a passionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Assessor to join our dynamic and multidisciplinary team. This position is ideal for professionals who love working with preschool-aged children and prefer a role focused exclusively on assessments (ages 3–5). You will play a critical role in supporting early identification and intervention, without the demands of a therapy caseload. Requirements

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Active California SLP License (or eligible for licensure)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organization, time management, and collaboration skills
A team-oriented mindset and a desire to grow professionally

Nice To Haves

Experience with preschool assessments and IEPs preferred

Responsibilities

Conduct standardized speech-language assessments for preschool-aged students (3–5 years)
Develop and deliver timely, well-written evaluation reports
Participate in IEP meetings, presenting results and providing professional recommendations
Work collaboratively with school teams, families, and other specialists to support student success
Maintain organized documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
