About The Position

The Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist at AnMed Therapy will work with children aged from birth to 21 in various settings, primarily outpatient, with occasional inpatient responsibilities. The role requires strong clinical and leadership skills to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of therapists. This part-time position involves day shifts from Monday to Friday, with potential weekend on-call duties to provide therapy in the nursery.

Requirements

  • Current licensure with the S.C. Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology or a temporary license with an approved Clinical Fellowship Year Plan.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Certification in CPR for basic life support.
  • Pediatric experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge and experience in dyspraxia, phonological disorders, and voice disorders.
  • Experience with autism, developmental delay, and articulation delay.
  • Familiarity with dysfluency, language-based disorders, and auditory processing.
  • Skills in feeding/swallowing, hearing impairments, and oral motor weakness.

Responsibilities

  • Provide speech and language therapy to pediatric patients in outpatient and inpatient settings.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of therapists to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations of speech and language disorders in children.
  • Educate families and caregivers on speech and language development and therapy techniques.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities.
