About The Position

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Speech and Language Pathologists (SLP)- Long Term Care (LTC) for a 13-week travel assignment in Temple, TX. Speech therapists develop treatment plans to improve swallowing, cognitive and communication abilities, and to decrease aspirations. Communication treatment plans may include techniques that not only help the individual to be better understood, but also to help them better understand others. Leads, guides and directs the delivery of speech language pathology and audiology services in the facility in accordance with local, state and federal regulations, standards and established facility policies and procedures to provide appropriate care and services to residents.

Requirements

2 years SLP experience is required
TX license is required
State License Requirements Texas(Compact Allowed)
Strong communication, professionalism, and reliability
Drug screen and background check (facility required)
Additional facility onboarding forms as assigned

Responsibilities

diagnoses, treats, and develops customized rehabilitation plans for patients with injuries or chronic conditions to improve movement, reduce pain, and restore function.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
Document accurately and comply with facility policies and protocols
Maintain patient safety, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance
Promotes continuity of care by communicating effectively with interdisciplinary team and family as appropriate.
Directs support staff in the provision of care.
Performs general nursing duties using critical thinking skills with minimal supervision.
