Requirements

Master’s degree
Certification/Licensure
Valid certification as a Speech and Language Therapist.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to create and maintain detailed records of student progress.
Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations in special education.
Previous experience working with children in a school or childcare setting.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to manage and resolve conflicts effectively.
Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
Basic computer skills for record-keeping purposes.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience working with school-aged children is preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct assessments to identify speech and language disorders in students.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language disorders.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a comprehensive support system.
Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and contribute valuable insights.
Stay updated on current research and best practices in speech and language therapy.
Work closely with other members of the special education team to ensure a cohesive approach to student support.
Attend internal and external meetings & trainings
Student data management via Infinite Campus and other software programs
Conduct & review evaluations
Assist in setting up and organizing materials and resources for after-school programs.
Other duties as assigned.
