About The Position

Now Hiring: Speech-Language Pathologist I at Kennedy Krieger Institute in the Greater Baltimore Area. This is a full-time, exempt position within the Special Education department. The role involves working with children and adolescents, particularly those with complex communication needs and significant behavioral challenges, in a supportive, interdisciplinary environment. The position offers opportunities for growth and leadership, as well as AAC/AT learning opportunities.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Maryland State Licensure (or eligibility).
  • Experience working with children with communication disorders.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments in speech, language, oral motor, and feeding/swallowing.
  • Developing and implementing individualized intervention plans aligned with each student’s IEP.
  • Delivering services in diverse settings including pull-out, classroom, and co-teaching formats.
  • Collaborating with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure educational benefit.
  • Maintaining detailed documentation in compliance with MSDE, ASHA, and departmental standards.
  • Participating in team meetings, staff development, and community outreach.
