About The Position

Easterseals Massachusetts (ESMA) is looking for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join their team. This position is open to both new graduates and experienced therapists who are enthusiastic about helping individuals of all ages achieve their communication goals. ESMA offers a unique employment experience by partnering with various organizations, providing clinicians the opportunity to work in diverse settings with clients of differing medical complexities. Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved master’s level program in speech & language pathology
  • Valid/current professional license as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Massachusetts
  • Massachusetts DESE Educator License (or in process)
  • Ability to travel to/between multiple work locations
  • Must pass extensive background checks and provide professional references
  • Ability to provide a recent physical indicating the ability to perform the essential functions of the job either with or without accommodations, proof of negative TB test, and required immunizations (including fully-vaccinated status for Covid-19)

Responsibilities

  • Provide speech and language therapy across different settings
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance client outcomes
  • Engage in continuous professional development and training
  • Perform clinical evaluations based on acceptable standards of practice
  • Establish a plan of care with realistic, objective goals
  • Design and implement a treatment program with consideration of the client’s diagnosis and environment
  • Educate client and caregivers in appropriate therapeutic techniques to promote clinical outcomes
  • Supervise speech assistants and aides, as appropriate
