Qualifications: âÂÂMaster's degree in Speech-Language Pathology âÂÂMassachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education certificate endorsement as a speech-language pathologist. âÂÂCertificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing âÂÂAssociation (ASHA) is required. âÂÂExperience in a school setting preferred with children on the Autism Spectrum and School-Based Therapy. âÂÂTreat a diverse caseload of students, including those diagnosed with language disorders, hearing impairment, speech delays, autism, and TBI. âÂÂProvide speech and language screenings and comprehensive evaluations for students in Preschool through Grade 6. âÂÂDetermine eligibility from EI placement to school-based services âÂÂDevelopment of Individualized Education Programs, and active participation in team meetings âÂÂKnowledge and use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication supports (e.g., PECS, communication boards, core vocabulary, TouchChat, Proloquo2Go) âÂÂConsult with staff and parents when appropriate âÂÂCommunicate information, provide support/strategies to parents and families to facilitate the generalization of skills âÂÂProvide written documentation outlining progress for each student on the caseload âÂÂKnowledge and implementation of vocabulary from the social thinking curriculum
