JOB TITLE: Speech Adjunct Instructor REPORTS TO: Academic Dean – Humanities & Social Sciences DEPARTMENT: Speech & Communication EXEMPT: Yes VICE PRESIDENT: Vice President of Academic and Transfer Programs GENERAL STATEMENT OF THE FUNCTION All Hinds Community College employees must commit to the Caring Campus approach to student engagement and daily apply these general behavioral objectives: listen to student questions and concerns with a positive attitude and make meaningful connections with students. This position is a primarily daytime position. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Master’s Degree in Speech or related field, with 18 graduate hours in Speech. Please attach copies of your transcripts for review. Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate classes in Speech each term
  • Manage course grading and records management
  • Contribute to department-wide program development and assessment
  • Participate in professional development activities and contribute to the general college community
