About The Position

About the Role: As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP). We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in Chino Hills, CA Details: In-Person Tutoring in Chino Hills, CA Schedule: 25 hours, 3 sessions a week for 2 hours Pay range is between $25 and $35 Ideal Candidate: Patient, dependable tutor with experience working with adults on the autism spectrum (ASD) . Skilled in ELA and Math , with an emphasis on reading comprehension, math word problems, and practical math (budgeting) . Comfortable supporting transition-age students focused on functional academics and independence rather than a traditional diploma track. Experienced in maintaining clear routines, consistent expectations, and calm redirection when mild frustration or task refusal occurs. Able to support homework completion , executive functioning, and real-world skill development. Familiar with SPED strategies and collaborative support alongside ABA services (teaching credential not required ). Why Tutor Me Education? Requirements

Responsibilities

• Support homework completion aligned with the student’s transition program goals.
• Provide targeted instruction in reading comprehension
• ELA skill-building
• math word problems
• Teach functional math skills
• including budgeting and real-life problem-solving.
• Reinforce executive functioning skills such as task initiation, persistence, and following routines.
• Use structured, practical, and real-world examples to improve understanding and retention.
• Maintain a supportive, patient learning environment with clear boundaries (no personal devices used).
• Conduct a required assessment to identify current academic levels and guide instruction.
• Support broader independent life skills to promote confidence and readiness for adulthood.
