About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education (SPED) Teacher Assistant to support students in a special education classroom setting, with a primary focus on students with autism. This role involves working closely with the lead teacher to provide individualized academic and behavioral support in a structured, inclusive learning environment.

Requirements

• Prior experience working with students with autism or developmental disabilities preferred.
• Strong ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet individual student needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher in planning and delivering instructional activities tailored to students with autism and other special needs.
• Provide one-on-one and small group support to reinforce learning objectives.
• Support implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and classroom modifications.
• Help manage classroom routines, transitions, and behavior support strategies.
• Maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Track and document student progress and assist with communication updates as needed.
