About The Position

This position involves planning and providing instruction to students in an elementary/middle school mild/moderate resource classroom, adhering to state, district, and school curricula and requirements, as well as individual education plans (IEPs). The role emphasizes effective teaching practices, collaboration with general education teachers, and maintaining a conducive learning environment for students with disabilities.

Requirements

  • Valid Professional Utah Special Education License and necessary endorsement.
  • Professional communication skills, including excellent written and verbal communication in English.
  • Empathic listening and persuasive speaking skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual speaker in Spanish or other languages representative of the student population.
  • ESL endorsement or willingness to obtain one within 4 years of hire.
  • Previous teaching experience.
  • Experience with grade level/content PLCs/data meetings.
  • Knowledge of effective teaching practices for English Language Learners.
