About the Role: As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP). We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in Los Angeles, CA Details: In-Person Tutoring in Los Angeles, CA Schedule: 5 hours, 1 session a week for 1hr 15 mins Pay range is between $25 and $35 Ideal Candidate: Experienced in working with elementary students, particularly those with ADHD. Skilled in reading comprehension, vocabulary development, writing instruction, and foundational math concepts. Patient, calm, and structured, able to maintain a supportive and focused learning environment. Creative and engaging, capable of incorporating student interests into lessons. Able to design individualized lesson plans that build confidence, focus, and academic independence.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide structured instruction in reading comprehension, vocabulary development, and writing conventions.
• Support executive functioning skills, including organization, task completion, planning, and sustaining attention.
• Reinforce math problem-solving strategies, focusing on fractions and word problems.
• Use interactive, visual, and hands-on strategies to maintain engagement and enhance understanding.
• Break down complex tasks into manageable steps and provide consistent encouragement.
• Incorporate student interests to make lessons engaging and relevant.
• Monitor progress and adjust instruction based on the student’s performance and needs.
• Collaborate with caregivers to ensure alignment with academic goals and expectations.
