About The Position

Requirements

• Experience with data entry and ability to enter 6,000 alphanumeric keystrokes/hour.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and hospital LIS systems preferred.

• Medical background preferred, including familiarity with clinical laboratory processes.
• Previous experience in a hospital laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficiency in test ordering policies and hospital processing procedures.
• Prepares specimens for testing and ensures compliance with legal requirements.
• Interprets specimen flow and tracking data using available reports.
• Manages supply ordering processes and performs remote accessioning as needed.
• Troubleshoots and resolves issues related to specimen types and missing information.
• Provides exceptional customer service as a liaison between customers and the laboratory.
• Manages inbound calls and communicates effectively with hospital staff and the sales team.
