About The Position

The Specimen Processor within our Clinical team is a pivotal role which requires a dynamic professional with strong experience in collecting laboratory specimen such as blood, urine, saliva and stool per protocol and established procedures. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with medical and clinical teams whilst interacting with patients and having the opportunity to be involved in first-in-human drug studies, which can be very rewarding

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a laboratory or clinical setting.
  • Basic knowledge of specimen handling, processing, and storage procedures.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collect biological specimens (e.g., blood, urine, saliva, stool, emesis) according to protocol and established safety procedures.
  • Receive, sort, centrifuge, aliquot, and store specimens following IRB-approved protocols and laboratory manuals.
  • Maintain accurate chain-of-custody and documentation for all specimen handling and processing steps.
  • Use laboratory instruments and equipment such as pipettes, centrifuges, balances, and pH meters accurately and safely.
  • Ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and all internal SOPs related to specimen management.
  • Identify and report any issues that may impact specimen integrity or study data.
  • Prepare and organize study-specific laboratory supplies and materials.
  • Perform and document preparation of solutions, dilutions, and calculations as needed.
  • Adhere to all chemical hygiene, biosafety, and laboratory safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with clinical and quality teams to troubleshoot and continuously improve specimen management processes.
