About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor II to join their team in Columbia, TN. This role involves preparing laboratory specimens for analysis and testing, communicating effectively with client office staff, and researching, troubleshooting, and resolving customer and specimen problems. The Specimen Processing Specialist will be responsible for performing clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting, and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment located onsite with one of Labcorp's client offices. The position requires an organized, accountable individual with a high level of attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of millions of healthcare tests every month.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED or equivalent
Comfortable handling biological specimens
Ability to accurately identify specimens
Experience working in a team environment
Strong data entry and organizational skills
High level of attention to detail
Experience with MS Office
Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Nice To Haves

1 year or more medical or patient facing healthcare experience
1 year or more experience in lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing or warehouse

Responsibilities

Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
