About The Position

The Specimen Processing Supervisor will supervise functions within the Specimen Processing department, which may include one or more of the following: Specimen Processing, Test in Question/Problem Resolution, Imaging/Microfilming. This role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Specimen Processing, all compliance training, training of personnel, monitoring the quality of the department(s), and improving productivity. The supervisor will ensure the maintenance of a safe, ergonomically sound, and professional environment, and must know and understand all functions of the department.

Requirements

• Experience in a supervisory role within a laboratory or healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of specimen processing and related functions.
• Strong leadership and training skills.
• Ability to monitor and improve productivity.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with compliance training.
• Familiarity with quality monitoring processes.
