About The Position

Specimen Processing Specialist – Houston, TX Join LabCorp’s Specimen Management Team and make an impact every day! We’re looking for a detail-oriented, problem-solving professional to help ensure accurate and timely specimen processing for our clients and patients. In this role, you’ll be the go-to expert for resolving sample-related issues, using advanced laboratory systems and clear communication to deliver exceptional service. Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm with occasional Mondays

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 1–2 years of experience preferred
• Comfortable handling biological specimens
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer and data entry skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to sit/stand for extended periods and pass a color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime when needed
• Proactive team player who takes initiative and is eager to learn and grow

Nice To Haves

• Previous medical/lab or production experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison between LabCorp, clients, and patients
• Research, troubleshoot, and resolve specimen and account issues
• Communicate professionally via phone and email to clarify and confirm requirements
• Ensure accurate specimen identification and handling
• Perform administrative and clerical tasks to support department operations
