Hours: Midnight Shift: 11:00pm to 7:30am Monday- Friday w/ rotating weekends and holidays among team Area: Central Processing/Reference Lab Location: Loyola Medical Center, Maywood, IL Brand NEW Clinical Laboratory – Features daylight access, in an open concept lab space About the Job In this role, the Lab Support Service Tech will support the delivery of patient care through the receipt, processing, and routing of specimens. Provides customer friendly service to any person requesting supplies or information by phone, computer or in person.

Requirements

High School Diploma
Less than one year of previous job-related experience

Nice To Haves

Associate's degree OR equivalent training acquired via work experience or education
1-2 years of previous job-related experience

Responsibilities

Performs assigned duties from the pre-analytical to post-analytical phases of testing according to standard operating procedures.
Receives and evaluates all specimens to ensure positive identification and appropriateness of sample.
Works with fellow team members to properly triage and efficiently move samples through all phases of testing.
