About The Position

Work Schedule : 20% FTE, evening shift. Monday through Friday, 4-hour shifts between the hours of 4:00PM – 8:00PM. Potential Saturday shift 9:00AM – 1:00PM. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. Pay : This position may be eligible for a $500 sign-on bonus (pro-rated based on FTE). We are seeking a Specimen Control and Receiving Tech – Support Services to: Receive specimens and research kits into the laboratory, check for correct labeling, enter tests into Laboratory Information System, process specimens, and load them onto instruments or direct to appropriate work station, technologist, or storage area. Basic instrument maintenance (temperatures, monitoring reagents) and clerical duties (filing, mailing, faxing). Interact daily with pathologists, physicians, technologists, clinical staff, nursing unit personnel, and patients. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent Required
  • 6 months experience in lab, healthcare, customer service or data entry role Required
