Work Schedule : 100% FTE, day shift. Monday through Friday 4:00AM – 12:00PM. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. Pay : This position may be eligible for a $2,500 sign-on bonus. We are seeking a Specimen Control and Receiving Tech – Surgical Pathology to: Receive specimens and research kits into the laboratory, check for correct labeling, enter tests into Laboratory Information System, process specimens, and load them onto instruments or direct to appropriate work station, technologist, or storage area. Basic instrument maintenance (temperatures, monitoring reagents) and clerical duties (filing, mailing, faxing). Interact daily with pathologists, physicians, technologists, clinical staff, nursing unit personnel, and patients.
